Mailbag Monday
Got a few questions this week to share with everyone. If you have a question that you want answered here, just email me with the subject "Mailbag Monday".
Q: When will the rest of the Cain Series be out on Audiobooks?
A: Directive is being finished up now. Actually, the work is finished. Just waiting for the cover work to be done. Should be out and available within the next 2-3 weeks. I would think Redemption should be done end of February-ish? That would mean it's available late March probably.
Q: I've read one of your books on my computer, but don't have a tablet or anything to download the rest. I don't really prefer to read on the computer though. I've noticed you don't have paperbacks. Why not? And will you release yours in paperback at some point?
A: Good question, and one I've been pondering myself lately. I'm leaning toward releasing paperback versions at some point later in the year. If not this year, definitely 2018. The main reason I haven't yet is that since I'm not published by a major publishing house, book store paperback sales will be rather slim. Also, I make as much from a $2.99 e-book as I will from a $10 paperback. But in saying that, I do want to give any fans of mine as many ways to read my material as humanly possible. So it will happen.
Q: I just finished reading The Silencer and loved it. Just wondering when the rest of the series will be available?
A: Soon! Fully Loaded (Silencer #2) is undergoing some last minute editing changes. Then it needs cover work and formatting. I'm assuming that will all be done relatively quickly and should be available to purchase by the end of January. Certainly no later than the first week of February. Hard Target (Silencer #3) is also in editing right now and assuming nothing crazy happens, I'd say a release date of late Feb/early Mar. is looking likely. Blowback (Silencer #4) is not yet finished but should be soon. I'd assume a release date of June-Aug., but that's just a guess as of now. Don't hold me to that last one. Could be more after that. Haven't really decided yet on how many there will be in the series.
That's it for this week. Love the questions and feedback from you guys. Emails I get saying how much you like my work really means a lot to me and keeps me going.
Love ya guys!

The Silencer
Excited to announce and give everyone a little notice that my latest book, The Silencer, will be released in the next couple weeks. I'm just finishing up the last of the edits and then it's being shipped off to be formatted for the various reading devices out there. The Silencer is the first in a series of at least 4 books. We'll see what happens after those four are completely done as to whether there are more. With The Cain Series, I had planned 4 books and for everything to be wrapped up by the end of it. With The Silencer series, I have no definitive plans for an end to the series. Could be more than 4 if it's well received.
The second book in the series, Fully Loaded, is also already done. It's also in the last stages of editing as well. It also still needs to find a cover, though I don't expect that to take much longer. Right now I expect that to be released in late January.
The third book in the series (title not decided yet), is still in the writing stages, though I would expect that to be finished by January. February at the latest. I would think after editing and polishing that a April-ish/May release would be on target.
I'm working on the blurb for The Silencer this week and will post something for everyone to see and get excited about (hopefully). Just to give everyone a little taste of what the first book is about, the main character's name is Mike Recker. He's a former CIA Black Ops Agent who was assigned to be killed. After he escapes, he relocates and changes his identity to avoid further pursuit. All the while, he plots his revenge on a man he only knows as Agent 17.
Almost forgot to mention that this will NOT be a Kindle Unlimited book. It will be available on Amazon, Kobo, iTunes, and B&N.

Audiobook Release!
So the audiobook of The Cain Conspiracy has now been released. Remember, due to contract agreements with Audible, I have no control over pricing. It's been listed at $14.95 on Audible, which you can buy here:
http://www.audible.com/pd/Mysteries-Thrillers/The-Cain-Conspiracy-Audiobook/B01MDLK2O5
If you've already bought the ebook, then you can add Audible narration for just a couple extra dollars. It is also available on iTunes, also at $14.95.
I do have free copies to give away for anyone interested in leaving a review on Audible. If interested in a review copy, shoot me up an email. For those wondering about the narrator, it was done by Charles Hayward, who is a professional voice actor. He actually does a lot of TV commercials and I think does a tremendous job with the book. I really couldn't be happier with the job he did. Hopefully, everybody else will like it as well.
Thanks for reading,
Mike

October Update
Just wanted to provide an update for you guys and let you know what I'm working on right now. I'm actually working on a bunch of things, so many that I think my head's gonna spin. But at the forefront, a couple of things have shot to the top of the list.
The first thing is the release of The Silencer. I'll be providing a blurb and more details soon, along with the cover. But it's extremely safe to assume that it'll be released in December. I'm still figuring out whether it'll be better to release it before or after Christmas, but it will be December.
Next up: Audiobooks! The Cain Series is being made into audiobooks and will be distributed on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes...the three major players in the audiobook game. They're being professionally narrated by professional voice actors. And books 1 and 2, The Cain Conspiracy and The Cain Deception, should both be available to purchase by the end of October! Deception is actually already done and has been approved by Audible, just waiting for it to be updated and distributed to their sites. Conspiracy will be done by the end of the week and then also distributed.
I will also point out that unlike the regular books, I will have no control over pricing of audiobooks. I don't even know what the price will be at this point. Audible controls pricing as part of their agreement. Regular price, sales, promotions...all controlled by them. I have no say or input.
Also, in order to get reviews, and hopefully more sales as a result of those reviews, when the books go live I will be offering free copies of the audiobooks in exchange for a review that you post on one (or all) of those sites. Once the books go live I'll offer more details about this. But if you're interested, you can start emailing me now to get put on the list for a free audiobook in exchange for a review.

Mailbag Monday
This is the first of what I hope is many Mailbag Mondays. If you have a question, statement, comment...send it to me and I'll answer for all to hear...with your permission. Just e-mail me with #mailbag Monday as the subject.
Q: Which of the characters in your books has been your favorite?----Josh, AZ
A: Well, Josh, that's a little like asking which child is your favorite. It's really hard, almost impossible, to pick one. If you're gonna hold me over a burning fire of hot coals and insist on an answer then I'd say....hmmm.....probably Matthew Cain. I think so far it's been the most interesting character with the most interesting backstory attached to him.
Q: Mike, what happened to your release schedule dude? What happened to the book a month thing for this year? #waylate----Jeff, OH
A: LOL...I've actually been waiting for this one. Yes, I was hoping to release a book a month throughout the year. Didn't quite work out like I planned. Though, if you recall, I didn't guarantee it. Just was my goal. In my defense, I have books ready if I can find a damn cover I like for them. I have six books written, edited, ready to go. The problem? Finding covers I feel are good enough. I do not have an unlimited budget for top of the line artists ($400+), but I'm not gonna skimp and put out any old crap for a cover either. For the good news, I feel I'm getting closer. I was looking at some ideas and images earlier that I think have potential. So instead of a book a month, I'll probably wind up dropping three books at a time or something like that.
Q: Your books are mostly Thriller/Action/Crime type books. And I see your upcoming releases are more of the same. Is there going to be more romance/love stories in them than your previous works? Would you ever consider writing a romance book? Or just putting more romance into your books?----Suzanne, CA
A: I'll address these questions separately. Would I consider writing a romance book? Uhh...no. It's not my style and doesn't interest me. Now, if some publishing company drops me an email and says we'll pay you a million dollars for a romance series, well then, who am I to say no? But there's a better chance of me growing wings and flying to Metropolis for lunch with Superman. More romance in my upcoming books? Ehhh...not really. I have 2 series dropping at some point this year...Task Force 88 series, and The Silencer series. Both have some elements of romance, but not more than anything I've already done. Sorry to disappoint you. Would I put more in at some point? I mean, maybe, I'm not saying no...wouldn't count on it, but it's unlikely it'll ever be a main point of one of my stories. I guess it'll just depend on the story and what I think is right for it.
That's all for this week. Hope you enjoyed reading. Thanks to those who sent questions in. Would love to do this every week. Really enjoyed answering them.
